Georgia Mountain Resort Ministry
georgia mountain resort ministries logo   Georgia Mountain Resort Ministries is a ministry program sponsored by the White County, Notla River, and Hiawassee, Baptist Associations, the Georgia Baptist Convention, and the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Georgia Mountain Resort Ministries (GMRM) is responsible for resort missions work by Baptists in the North Georgia Mountains. Our desire is to assist the resort industry of North Georgia in offering Christian-based services to the guests who visit our area as well as to the employees of the tourist industry.
Resort missions is communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people caught up in a leisure lifestyle. Our purpose is to express the love of God and the care of the churches to those people who live and visit in these resort settings and those people, both seasonal and permanent, who work in the resort industries of North Georgia. Listed below are some of the different ministry programs in which GMRM works to share the Gospel with the leisure lifestyle people who live, work, and play in the North Georgia Mountains.   picture of mountains


Programs:
  • Sunday Worship Services in Campgrounds and other Resort Settings
  • Outreach Bible Studies for those who work and live in these areas
  • Day Camps for children
  • Recreation with a Purpose 
  • Family Evening Programs 
  • Campfire Programs and Storytelling
  • Puppets and Clowning
Community Ministries:
  • Appalachian Trail Ministries
  • River Clean-up
  • Window Washing
  • Prayer Walks
Resort Ministries Training:
  • Supervision of approximately 500 volunteers per year
  • Train numerous churches to minister in the North Georgia Mountains
